Microsoft's Todd Brix has confirmed Windows Phone Marketplace now has 3,000 apps and games to download. Interestingly, since September this year, Microsoft has seen an 80% increase in the number of Windows Phone 7 registered developers, taking the total to 15,000.
Microsoft are taking full advantage of Bing to promote its Marketplace by Visual Search capabilities which allows anyone with a browser to easily find, view and access the growing list of apps and games available for Windows Phones.

As a matter of interest the top 5 apps on Windows Marketplace currently are : Facebook for Wi, Shazum, Meon Lite, Tube Run and Alqoa.
