The BBC has launched its iPlayer apps for the iPad and for Android. Both are free to download and you can get the Android app from Android Market and the iPad App from iTunes.
The iPlayer app can only stream via Wi-Fi, but a 3G connection is okay for browsing. You can watch live TV and rewind to watch the ones you've missed.
Android users will need to have Adobe Flash 10.1 and Android 2.2 installed for the service to function. iPhone users need to hang on till their app arrives but no date has been confirmed by the BBC to-date.
The BBC Internet Blog now has a video posted from David Madden which explains about the new BBC iPlayer apps. This can be found here and covers both the iPad and Android apps.
