Google announced its first tablet PC this week. This low price device aims to popularize tablet PCs. This 7 inch device is not the direct competitor of IPad however, it takes cheaper different route. Google has added TV, magazines and movie purchasing to the Play Store, its rival to iTunes, so that it can challenge Apple effectively. Indeed, Google described its new tablet as "built for Google Play".

According to rumor, Microsoft isn't going to do the same like such companies as Apple, RIM, Motorola, and HP, which experimented with a tablet-friendly OS. The Windows Phone 7 have not yet to craft a tablet or a tablet-friendly OS. Toshiba Tablet Powered by Android 3.0 (Honeycomb)

Toshiba have all the plans to jump into the tablet market with its new 10.1-inch multi touchscreen tablet apparently powered by Android 3.0 (aka Honeycomb).

The Tablet offers a 1280 x 800 720p resolution as well as intelligent light sensors for adjusting the brightness of the screen according to the atmosphere. Android quick-key buttons for home, menu, back and search are located on the front of the device.

Samsung unveils dual-core Galaxy Tab 10.1

Along with the Galaxy S II, Samsung introduced its second Android tablet today on the eve of Mobile World Congress 2011.

Joining the 7-inch Galaxy Tab, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a larger 10.1-inch WXGA (1,280x800-pixel resolution) TFT touch screen and runs the latest Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. In addition, it's a Google Experience device, so the tablet will feature the stock Android user interface instead of Samsung's custom UI, TouchWiz. This should, hopefully, prevent any delays with future OS updates.
